Deleting files and folders installed by installers is a bad idea because it confuses the installer, or quite probably removes files that are vital to it's operation. Things I'd try to retrieve the situation:

Trevor, What are you re-installing? From your question tags I'm assuming that its Platform 5? Usually the more you can tell us, the more we can help you. Perhaps you have a process e.g. an application or driver that has locked the file? Sometimes, when crashing, applications can loose their user interface but continue to run in the background. Have you tried re-booting your PC to deal with the scenario above? The DriverAccess dll lives in your
directory, does that directory exist? Has it or its contents somehow been marked read-only? |
